Carowinds is rolling out an impressive lineup of fall events, including the debut of Tricks and Treats and Oktoberfest, along with the return of the Carolinas’ premier Halloween event, SCarowinds.
This year marks a significant change: for the first time since its inception in 2000, SCarowinds will be included in the park’s general admission. This means guests can enjoy all that Carowinds has to offer—from the thrills of their favorite rides to the new family-friendly festivities—without the need for a separate ticket, providing ultimate convenience and value.

Running select nights from September 13 through October 27, SCarowinds transforms the park into a terrifying realm of nightmares.
Visitors can face their fears in four spine-chilling scare zones, navigate through five mazes, and experience four ominous shows. Carowinds’ signature thrill rides like Fury 325 will take on an entirely new life under the cover of darkness, offering an unparalleled Halloween experience that keeps guests on edge long after sunset.
New to SCarowinds this year is the “Lobotomy’s Oddities: Circus of Madness” scare zone, where Bob Lobotomy, the demented ringmaster, will showcase his disturbing collection of curiosities.
Also debuting is “Wake the Dead: A Murder Mystery Musical,” an interactive experience at the Carowinds Theater where the audience plays a role in solving the crime, with multiple possible endings making it a must-see for those seeking a unique Halloween experience.

During the daytime, Carowinds is launching Tricks and Treats, a new family-friendly Halloween event running on Saturdays and Sundays from September 14 through October 27. From noon to 6 p.m., guests can participate in traditional fall activities with a Carowinds twist, including pumpkin picking, themed games, mask-making, and trick-or-treating throughout the park.
Live entertainment, dance parties, and costume contests will ensure that fun is around every corner. The Tricks and Treat Parade, returning for its second season, will bring Halloween-themed floats to life at 6 p.m. in the County Fair area.

For those looking to embrace the spirit of Oktoberfest, Carowinds will also host a new event celebrating Germany’s famous festival.
Held on Saturdays and Sundays from September 14 to November 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oktoberfest at Carowinds offers a taste of authentic German culture with traditional food, imported beers, lively polka music, and family-friendly entertainment.
The festivities will kick off with a celebratory keg-tapping ceremony, followed by activities such as stein-holding and brat-eating contests, as well as a colorful Oktoberfest mural.

This fall, Carowinds is the ultimate destination in the southeast for a day filled with thrills, chills, and festive fun. With all events now included in a single admission ticket, visitors can make the most of their time at the park, creating memories that will last long after the leaves have fallen.
