Universal Orlando Resort has just unveiled what I believe could be the crown jewel of theme park hotels—the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel.
Set to open in 2025 as part of the highly anticipated Epic Universe, this 500-room luxury resort has me counting down the days until I can check in.

What immediately caught my attention is the fact that this will be the first Universal Orlando hotel to feature its own dedicated theme park entrance. Located just off the lobby, this entrance offers direct access to Epic Universe, making the Helios Grand the most convenient place to stay for anyone looking to maximize their time in the park. Imagine stepping out of your room and being just a few steps away from all the action—that’s the kind of ease and access I’ve always dreamed of in a theme park resort.
The design of the Helios Grand also has me eager to experience it firsthand. Blending Mediterranean and celestial-inspired elements, the hotel promises a visual feast that’s as enchanting as the park itself. The lobby, with its floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of Epic Universe’s Celestial Park, is sure to be a sight to behold. I can already picture myself lounging in that lobby, soaking in the views and feeling the excitement of the park before I’ve even set foot inside.

And then there are the amenities, which take this hotel to a whole new level. From the How to Train Your Dragon-themed kids’ suites to the zero-entry pool with underwater speakers, the Helios Grand is designed to cater to every kind of guest.
Dining at Flora Taverna or enjoying a drink at Bar Helios, the rooftop lounge with 360-degree views of the park, will be experiences unto themselves. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to indulge.

Universal Orlando’s Signature Collection, which the Helios Grand is a part of, promises elevated service and dining options, and this hotel seems poised to set the standard. With early park admission, complimentary shuttle transportation, and resort-wide charging privileges, every detail has been considered to ensure a seamless, luxurious experience.
Simply put, the Universal Helios Grand looks like it’s going to be the best theme park resort hotel in the country, and I can’t wait to see it for myself.
