Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari has unveiled the full menu and Event Guide for its upcoming Summer Wine’d Down Culinary Festival, and after seeing what’s in store, I’m already counting down the days until I can head to the park and indulge in this one-of-a-kind summer celebration.
Running daily from August 4–17, and weekends from August 21–September 13, Summer Wine’d Down promises a flavorful send-off to the season, pairing 30 new, exclusive small bites with suggested wine options across both parks.
The culinary offerings are as creative as they are mouthwatering. A few that instantly caught my eye include:
Honey Sesame Shrimp
Bacon Marmalade Banshee Bite
Monster Mash
Hot Honey Chicken & Waffle Biscuit
Turkey & Stuffing Meatballs
Christmas Caprese Flatbread Pizza
The Safari Turkey Melt

Butter Cookie Frozen Hot Cocoa
Red Velvet Layered Cake
Guests can purchase a Tasting Pass online or in-park to sample five of the exclusive items, or order à la carte from each festival location. And the best part? Admission to the event is included with regular park admission—so your ride on Thunderbird or your float down Bahari River can be followed by a gourmet bite and a perfect wine pairing.
“Students are returning to school soon, but that doesn’t mean that summer fun comes to a stop,” said Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Holiday World’s Director of Communications. “There’s still so much time for fun left on the calendar! This event is great for families of all ages—as well as couples looking for a summer outing or friends planning a girls’ weekend.
The park is also teasing a new Thursday NightBites event on August 21 and 28, running from 4:30 to 9 p.m., which will offer select attractions and restaurants, plus one complimentary Summer Wine’d Down dish with each event ticket.
And if that weren’t enough, the fun doesn’t stop with summer. Holiday World’s fall lineup includes the return of Friday Night Live! starting August 22 through October 24 with live music, drink specials, and night rides, followed by Happy Halloween Weekends, which kicks off September 20 and runs through October 26.
Whether you’re a foodie, a coaster enthusiast, or just looking for an excuse to soak up every last ounce of summer magic, Holiday World’s Summer Wine’d Down Festival sounds like the perfect way to do it. I can’t wait to experience it myself.
