A new chapter is unfolding at Six Flags Great Adventure, where a reimagined Boardwalk is bringing the sights, sounds and flavors of the Jersey Shore to life in an entirely new way for 2026.
Opening in late spring, Shoreline Pier is designed to capture the unmistakable energy of a summer night down the Shore. Think glowing lights reflecting off spinning rides, music drifting through the midway and a vibrant coastal atmosphere that feels equal parts nostalgic and new.
The immersive area introduces five attractions that lean into classic seaside charm while delivering modern thrills. Families can hop aboard Barrels O’ Fun, a spinning coaster themed to wooden barrels that dip and twist like buoys on rolling surf. Flying Scooters brings back a true boardwalk staple, giving riders control as they glide through the air, while Wave Swinger lifts guests high above the midway for sweeping views.
For those craving a little more intensity, Hypno Twister delivers a visually dazzling spin ride packed with motion and bursts of airtime, and Super Roundup returns in a refreshed location, spinning riders faster and higher in a nod to classic amusement park energy.
Classic boardwalk flavors take center stage
No boardwalk experience is complete without indulgent food, and Shoreline Pier leans all the way in. The menu reads like a love letter to seaside snacking, from fresh-cut fries paired with bold dipping sauces to Jersey-style disco fries loaded with mozzarella and gravy.
Guests can grab classic corn dogs or try the signature Gabagool On-a-Stick with hot honey, while over-the-top funnel cakes—like the Triple Blueberry Roundup and the cannoli-inspired “Holey Cannoli”—deliver the kind of messy, shareable treats that define a day at the shore. Sweet options continue with chocolate-dipped fruit and the unmistakable cool-down favorite, Rita’s Italian Ice, served fresh inside the park.
Live entertainment keeps the energy going
Shoreline Pier isn’t just about rides and food—it’s built to feel alive. Throughout the day, roaming performers, stilt walkers and live musicians create a constant sense of motion and spontaneity, turning the area into an interactive experience rather than just a midway.
When the sun sets, that energy shifts into Boardwalk Nights, a new limited-time summer event that transforms the area into an after-dark spectacle. With live stage performances, music, lighting effects and exclusive merchandise, the nighttime atmosphere is designed to keep guests in the park long after the rides stop spinning.
A season packed with momentum
The debut of Shoreline Pier arrives as part of a broader push for 2026 at Six Flags Great Adventure. The season kicks off with Passholder Preview Night on March 27, followed by Opening Day on March 28 and the return of the Safari Spring Break Celebration, which runs select dates through April 12.
Guests can once again access the Safari Off Road Adventure directly from inside the park, offering an up-close look at more than 1,200 animals from around the world included with admission. Additional upgrades this season include a smoother ride experience on El Toro, expanded Wi-Fi connectivity and refreshed dining options across the park.
Beyond the main gates, Wild Safari Base Camp returns April 3 with hands-on animal encounters and educational experiences, while Savannah Sunset Resort offers a glamping-style overnight stay with sweeping savannah views.
Shoreline Pier may be the headline addition, but it’s also a signal of something bigger. With new experiences rising across the park and more still to come, Six Flags Great Adventure is positioning 2026 as a season defined by transformation, energy and a renewed sense of place—one that feels as much like the Jersey Shore as it does a day at a theme park.
