Kings Island is taking Halloween Haunt to new, more terrifying — and more expensive — heights this fall with new and returning haunted mazes that will require an extra ticket beyond regular park admission.
The marquee addition is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, a new “SCREAMium” experience based on New Line Cinema’s horror franchise. Guests step into the role of paranormal investigators recruited by Ed and Lorraine Warren to secure cursed artifacts before supernatural forces wreak havoc. The 20-minute interactive walkthrough features state-of-the-art effects, film-inspired sets, and encounters with entities such as The Nun, The Crooked Man and Annabelle.
Access to haunted mazes is no longer included with park admission. Visitors must purchase one of several passes: a Haunted Attractions Pass for unlimited maze access in a single night; an All Season Haunted Attractions Pass for passholders; single-entry admission to The Conjuring: Beyond Fear; or a Haunted Attractions Express Pass, which includes priority maze entry and one admission to The Conjuring. Advance purchase is recommended.

Returning mazes include Alien Abyss, Cornered, Hotel St. Michelle, KillMart and Slaughter House. A new maze, Order of the Dragon, challenges guests to escape the Vampire King’s catacombs. Scare zones such as Abandoned, Coney Maul, Hooked, International Street Fear and Pumpkin Eater, along with live shows including Dr. Nightmare’s Game Show and Nytewalkers, are included with park admission.

Most rides, including The Beast, Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, Banshee and The Racer, will operate during Halloween Haunt hours. Food, drinks, haunted mazes and merchandise require separate purchases.
Halloween Haunt runs Fridays, Saturdays and select Thursdays and Sundays from Sept. 19 through Nov. 1. The event is not recommended for children younger than 13. For a family-friendly alternative, the park offers Tricks and Treats.
