When the sun sets over Busch Gardens Williamsburg this fall, the park’s cobblestone streets and storybook villages will transform into a nightmare of fog, fright, and fantastical terror.
Beginning September 5, Howl-O-Scream—recently named the number one Theme Park Halloween Event by USA Today’s 10 Best—returns bigger and bolder than ever with five haunted houses, six immersive “Terror-tories,” and four live shows.
Two of this year’s haunted houses, three of the Terror-tories, and two shows are all new, joining fan favorites that have been revamped for fresh scares.

Clown Town makes its sinister return, while Death Water Bayou: Morte and Killarney DInEr: Condemned have both been given new twists. New haunted houses include Bloodshot, where vampires keep their own taps flowing with something far more vital than beer inside the ruins of Pompeii, and Werewolves: The Wolf’s Revenge, where a legendary creature has broken free from hunters’ chains and now stalks the living.
The scare extends through six themed Terror-tories. Ripper Row, Stalker Street, and Fest-Evil return, while three brand-new realms of fright debut. Bavarian Bloodshed turns a cheerful village into a hunting ground under the blood moon. Wicked Wunderland curdles holiday cheer into festive fear as the shadow of Krampus looms. Disgrotesque transforms France Village into a fever dream of demonic glamour and cabaret-inspired chaos.
Entertainment rounds out the evening with returning favorites Monster Stomp on Ripper Row and Fiends, joined this year by Skeletons in Your Closet and Spirit Spellabration.

Howl-O-Scream begins September 5 and runs on select nights through November 2, offering an autumn of fear and spectacle at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. All haunted houses are included with park admission.
