Flavors from around the world take center stage this spring at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, where the park’s annual Food & Wine Festival is once again transforming a day at the park into a full-blown culinary adventure.
Held Thursdays through Sundays through June 22, plus Memorial Day, the event spans nearly every corner of the park with 18 tasting locations and over 150 menu options. But the most impressive part? This isn’t just a food event tucked into a side corner of the park — it’s everywhere, fully immersive, and unmistakably festive.
Experiencing the festival firsthand, I found myself constantly lured by the aromas, sounds, and sips scattered throughout the beautifully landscaped European-themed park. Whether wandering through the streets of “Italy” or along the alpine charm of “Germany,” the festival ambiance was present — and mouthwatering.

Among the offerings I tried, two dishes stood out stood out as personal favorites: the Giant Meatball in the Italy section and the Shredded Beef Taco from the Mexico booth. The meatball was generously portioned, savory, and topped with a bright marinara and Asiago cheese — hearty, comforting, and executed with finesse. Meanwhile, the Shredded Beef Taco delivered a perfect balance of tangy citrus marinade, tender beef, fresh mango salsa, and queso fresco. Each bite of everything I tried reminded me that this festival isn’t just about quantity — it’s about quality.
New this year are booths representing Poland and China. Poland’s Pierogies — pillowy dumplings filled with potato and cheese, accented by caramelized onion jam — offered traditional comfort food with a gourmet twist. Meanwhile, China’s Pork Bao and Dumpling Trio brought bold Asian flavors and soft steamed textures to the lineup.

For beverage lovers, the options are just as abundant. Virginia local brews and wines are featured throughout, and locations like OktoberTaps offer a self-serve “Perfect Pour” experience with eight craft beers and four specialty cocktails on tap. There’s also no shortage of creative cocktails, from Jamaica’s vibrant “Jamaican Me Smile” to Turkey’s floral “Turkish Delight Cocktail.”
Desserts also shine, with options like Italy’s Lemon Ricotta Cake and Brazil’s coconut rice pudding offering sweet finishes to a flavorful journey. There are plenty of vegetarian and plant-based options as well, ensuring something for every palate and dietary preference.

With each dish and drink, the festival maintains a balance between global flair and local charm. But what really elevates the experience is how the event is integrated throughout the park’s themed villages. It’s not just a food event you attend; it’s part of the entire Busch Gardens experience.
I highly recommend visiting this event, whether you’re a foodie, a fan of craft beverages, or just looking to taste your way through spring. With over 80 new specialty items in 2025 and plenty of returning favorites, there’s always something new to discover — and devour.
