Rock legends ZZ Top are bringing decades of blues-rock swagger to Wild Adventures Theme Park this spring, giving travelers another reason to plan a getaway to one of the Southeast’s most underrated family destinations.

The band is scheduled to perform Saturday, May 2, as part of the park’s 2026 Wild Adventures LIVE! Concert Series, adding a high-profile entertainment night to the theme park’s 30th anniversary season. Known for classics like “La Grange,” “Legs,” and a stage presence as iconic as their music, ZZ Top’s appearance blends nostalgia, live entertainment, and a full day of theme park fun into one ticketed experience.

A Theme Park Trip With a Concert Bonus

For travelers looking to stretch their vacation dollars, Wild Adventures offers a different formula than many larger destination parks. Located in Valdosta just off Interstate 75 between Atlanta and Orlando, the 170-acre park combines rides, animal exhibits, a water park, campground lodging, and a robust live entertainment lineup.

That means visitors can spend the day riding coasters, cooling off at Splash Island Waterpark, exploring wildlife attractions, then cap the night with a concert inside the Wild Adventures LIVE! Amphitheater.

It’s the kind of bundled value more regional parks are leaning into—and one reason Wild Adventures continues to stand out for road-trippers and budget-conscious families.

What Guests Need to Know

The ZZ Top concert begins at 8 p.m. and requires park admission or a Season Pass.

General concert admission is $10, with lawn-style seating where guests may bring chairs and blankets. Reserved seating is also available in advance, with discounted pricing for Gold and Diamond passholders.

For guests considering multiple visits, Wild Adventures is making a familiar theme park play: use concerts to drive season pass sales. Passholders receive free general concert admission throughout the series, making repeat visits more appealing than a one-day purchase.

More Than Just One Big Night

ZZ Top is only one stop on a larger 2026 lineup that includes Chris Janson, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, Parmalee, LOCASH, Travis Tritt, The Beach Boys, Australian Pink Floyd Show, Skillet and for KING + COUNTRY.

That variety gives the park multiple reasons for return visits across the season while broadening its appeal to families, classic rock fans, country listeners, and faith-based audiences alike.

Why This Matters for Travelers

Theme parks are no longer just about rides. Increasingly, they’re packaging festivals, concerts, food events, and overnight stays into multi-purpose escapes.

Wild Adventures may not get the same national attention as Florida giants, but pairing a major act like ZZ Top with a day of attractions shows how regional parks can create destination-worthy experiences without destination-resort prices.

For travelers driving through the Southeast this spring or summer, this might be the road trip stop worth adding to the itinerary.
