Wild Adventures Theme Park is bringing back its popular Wild Food Weekends event beginning Aug. 9, with a new theme centered entirely around potatoes.
Titled “Tater Takeover,” the event will run Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day and feature an array of creative potato-based dishes, family activities, and discounted ticket offers.
“Wild Food Weekends are always a guest favorite,” said Asher Raymond, public relations specialist at Wild Adventures. “And this year, it’s all about taters. We’re serving up unique creations like Sweet Potato Soft Serve Ice Cream and a Chicken and Tater Tot Waffle with Hot Honey Sauce that you won’t find anywhere else.”
Guests can choose from menu items such as a Tater Tot Waffle Bacon & Egg Sandwich, Mashed Potato BBQ Parfait, and Loaded Tater Skins. Dishes can be purchased individually or as part of the Wild Food Weekends Flavor Card, which includes three featured menu items and unlimited fountain drinks for the day.
The festivities will be centered in Water’s Edge, a new area of the park featuring three rides, shaded seating, and additional activities including potato sack races, a Hot Potato game, and themed coloring stations. Local food vendors will also be showcased throughout the area.
To kick off each event day, the first 100 guests through the gates will receive a voucher for a free basket of French fries.
Park admission during Wild Food Weekends is $35, a 40% discount off the regular ticket price. A $55 bundle is also available and includes park admission, a Flavor Card, and unlimited soda.
The event also marks the final days of the season for Splash Island Waterpark, which will close after Sept. 1.
Gold and Diamond Season Passholders can take advantage of Bring-A-Friend Weekends during the event. Each passholder may bring one friend for free by showing their pass at the entrance turnstiles.
