Kennywood, located about 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, is set to unleash a new wave of frights this fall as it kicks off Phantom Fall Fest on Friday, Sept. 12, with the debut of a brand-new haunted house: Detached.
The latest addition to the park’s Halloween lineup promises “next-level scares,” inviting guests into the eerie toy store of the Puppet Master, where deranged dolls and manic marionettes lurk in every shadow.
In addition to Detached, Phantom Fall Fest will feature four immersive scare zones and six haunted houses, including returning favorites such as mAlice in Wonderland Unleashed, Shady Grove, Dark Shadows, and Fear Fest.
The seasonal event blends frights with familiar thrills, with many of Kennywood’s most iconic rides—including The Steel Curtain, Jack Rabbit, Black Widow, and Phantom’s Revenge—operating during both day and nighttime hours.
Phantom Fall Fest will run select days through Saturday, Nov. 1. Hours of operation are 6 to 11 p.m. on Fridays, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays. A special bonus date is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 11 p.m.
The 2025 season will wrap up with the 14th annual Holiday Lights celebration, beginning Friday, Nov. 14. The holiday event transforms the park into a winter wonderland, offering festive displays and family-friendly entertainment.
Kennywood guests can save up to $60 on 2026 Season Passes when purchasing online.
