Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa is marking a decade of extending the park’s signature warmth and hospitality to guests long after the gates close for the day.
The resort, which opened Monday, July 27, 2015, has played a pivotal role in Dollywood Parks & Resorts’ mission to provide memorable, family-centered experiences. For 10 years, DreamMore has served as both a relaxing retreat and a continuation of the Dollywood story, offering guests a home away from home nestled in the Smoky Mountains.
“There was such excitement and anticipation around the opening of DreamMore Resort,” said Kevin Osborn, general manager of Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort and the former opening general manager of DreamMore. “The resort allows guests to continue that special Dollywood experience after the park closes for the night and for the season. It was, and continues to be, a big responsibility but one that our hosts do with such care and enthusiasm.”
DreamMore Resort features a wide array of amenities and family-friendly offerings, including a full-service spa, dining options, live entertainment, a signature pool complex, and curated children’s programming through Camp DW. Guests also receive exclusive perks such as complimentary TimeSaver passes and trolley transportation to Dollywood Parks.
For many team members and longtime visitors, the resort has become more than just a place to stay. Mary Treadway, who began her Dollywood career at the theme park’s Red’s Drive-In, has worked at the resort’s Pokeberry Lane retail shop since opening day.
“Ten years ago, I didn’t really know my customers, but now I have about 10 different families that come back,” Treadway said. “When they come back, they come back and visit me. I have one that sends me gifts at home, I have some that send me Christmas cards. They are basically part of my family, too.”
In 2022, the resort introduced the Dolly’s Suite 1986 Tour Bus Experience, offering guests an exclusive opportunity to spend the night aboard Parton’s custom tour bus used between 2008 and 2022. Net proceeds from bookings are donated to the Dollywood Foundation.
The 10th anniversary of DreamMore Resort comes as Dollywood celebrates additional milestones — its 40th anniversary season and the 25th anniversary of Dollywood’s Splash Country.
