Autumn settles over the Smoky Mountains like a warm blanket, painting the hills in shades of gold, amber, and crimson. At Dollywood, the season comes alive during the Harvest Festival presented by Humana. From the moment you step through the gates, the park hums with the rhythm of fall: the scent of spiced treats drifts through the air, sunlight glints off thousands of pumpkins, and the laughter of families mingles with the crisp mountain breeze. Everywhere you look, creativity and color transform the park into a celebration of the season.
Music weaves its way through the festival, and few performances capture the spirit of fall like Christian band Sidewalk Prophets, performing September 29 through October 3. With over 240 million streams and multiple studio albums, the Dove Award-winning group has earned a devoted following they call “The Great Big Family.” Their music carries warmth and familiarity, perfectly echoing the festival’s inviting atmosphere.
Lead singer Dave Frey describes the experience as unforgettable. “Beautiful fall weather, creativity in every corner, and that warm, family atmosphere—it just makes you feel instantly at home,” he says. One memory stands out: riding Dollywood’s rollercoasters at sunset, music in the air, and the Smoky Mountains glowing all around. “In that moment, I honestly don’t think there was a better place on the planet. It was pure magic.”
Sidewalk Prophets is just one of more than 700 performances during the festival. Guests can also enjoy Emily Ann Roberts, Triumphant Quartet, Daily & Vincent, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Grascals, Keith Anderson, and The Original Coalminers featuring Emily Portman’s Always Loretta. Each performance adds another layer to a festival brimming with music, energy, and joy.
During the day, Dollywood invites visitors to slow down and savor the season. Harvest-themed treats, pumpkin-filled pathways, and picture-perfect scenery provide endless moments for photos and memories. By night, the park transforms. Thousands of illuminated pumpkins light the way at the award-winning Great Pumpkin LumiNights, turning the park into a glowing autumn wonderland.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Dollywood’s Harvest Festival offers an escape where music, light, and the natural beauty of the Smokies come together. It’s a celebration of fall that feels both grand and intimately familiar—a magical experience that lingers long after the leaves have fallen.
