Universal Destinations & Experiences, a Comcast NBCUniversal division, has officially unveiled the Universal Kids Resort, marking its inaugural theme park tailored for families with young children. Nestled in Frisco, Texas, this imaginative and original resort, initially disclosed earlier this year, extends the company’s innovative storytelling to a younger audience.

Situated within the lush green landscape of Frisco, Universal Kids Resort comprises a theme park featuring captivating themed zones that embody Universal’s renowned entertainment, humor, and fun. It breathes life into cherished characters and narratives, aiming to astonish the youngest theme park enthusiasts. 

The park boasts family-friendly attractions, engaging shows, distinct merchandise, delightful food venues, and opportunities for character meet-and-greets. Complementing the experience is a 300-room themed hotel, providing families with both a place to stay and continue the play after their day of adventure.

Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative, expressed, “Universal Kids Resort will nurture the boundless creativity of children through imagination, discovery, and, most importantly, play. We’re crafting an environment where kids and families can immerse themselves physically in their beloved stories and characters.”

The development, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony in November, is progressing swiftly. Universal Kids Resort is poised to generate significant economic benefits for the region, creating thousands of jobs, including over 2,500 construction positions. Throughout the project’s lifecycle, the company remains committed to ensuring the resort enhances the community and adds substantial value.
