For the second consecutive year, The Island in Pigeon Forge has earned the title of Best Destination in the Best of Pigeon Forge Awards, once again cementing its reputation as a can’t-miss stop in the Smoky Mountains.

A favorite for both first-time visitors and seasoned vacationers, The Island continues to impress with its mix of attractions, shopping, dining, and family-friendly atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for me every time I’m in Pigeon Forge — there’s just something about the energy, the variety, and the charm that keeps drawing you back.

The Island also racked up several other top honors in this year’s awards:

  • Best Ride: SkyFly: Soar America
  • Best Resort and Best Poolside Retreat: Margaritaville Island Hotel
  • Best Spa: St. Somewhere Spa at Margaritaville Island Hotel
  • Best Distillery and Best Moonshine: Ole Smoky Moonshine
  • Best Pizza: Mellow Mushroom
  • Best Specialty Cocktails: Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville

Second-place finishes included the iconic Great Smoky Mountain Wheel for Best Ride, The Rooftop Chill Bar for Best Bar, Fins Bar & Chill for Best Burger, and Margaritaville Island Hotel for Best Hotel.

Third-place nods went to Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen for Best Southern Food and Fins Bar & Chill again for Best Specialty Cocktails.

Organizers of the awards credited passionate guests for the recognition, thanking everyone who voted and helped shine a spotlight on what makes The Island such a standout.

With so many accolades under its belt — and something new to discover each visit — The Island remains a top destination in the Smokies. Planning a trip? Now’s a great time to see what all the excitement is about.

I’ll respect their decision but that is one place we avoid like the plague when we go down there
