Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, home to one of the top ranked wooden roller coasters in the world in El Toro in annual industry and enthusiast polls, has revealed its highly anticipated 2025 events schedule, offering thrills and festive celebrations throughout the year. Alongside the seasonal lineup, the park is giving fans a chance to be among the first to ride its groundbreaking new attraction, THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity.

The season kicks off on March 29 with Opening Day for both the Great Adventure theme park and Wild Safari animal park. Just a few weeks later, on April 12, the brand-new Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa at the Wild Safari will officially open its doors, coinciding with Spring Break Days, running April 12-20. Guests can expect thrilling rides, delicious food, and family-friendly entertainment to jumpstart the season.

Hurricane Harbor water park will make its splashy return on May 17, while patriotic celebrations take center stage with Star-Spangled Nights on July 4 and 5. Guests will enjoy breathtaking fireworks displays and themed entertainment. Summer fun continues with Summerbration from July 4 through August 17, featuring exclusive shows, high-energy performances, and special attractions on select dates.

As the weather cools, the park transforms for its fall events. Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS will run on select nights from September 12 to November 2, offering spine-tingling mazes, scare zones, and nighttime thrills. Families can also enjoy the lighter side of Halloween during Kids Boo Fest, available on Saturdays and Sundays from September 13 to November 2, alongside the return of Oktoberfest, featuring German-inspired food, seasonal brews, and live music.

Rounding out the year is the cherished Holiday in the Park event, running November 22 through January 4, 2026. Visitors will be immersed in a winter wonderland of dazzling lights, holiday treats, and live entertainment.

Adding to the excitement, Six Flags Great Adventure will debut its newest attraction, THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity, a state-of-the-art super boomerang coaster that launches riders forward and backward at speeds up to 60 miles per hour. Guests will twist through a thrilling Zero-G roll and reach heights of 172 feet, making it a must-ride experience for thrill-seekers. Interestingly, Great Adventure is promoting this innovative ride as a “family thrill ride” rather than a traditional roller coaster, a distinction sure to catch the attention of fans, particularly those familiar with Kings Island’s new for 2026 ride classification in a corporate news release.

Season pass holders will have free access to all events and the exclusive opportunity to be among the first to experience THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity. With its action-packed schedule and groundbreaking new ride, Six Flags Great Adventure is poised to deliver unforgettable experiences in 2025.
