Step into the world of holiday nostalgia and good old-fashioned family fun with Good Gravy!, a new family thrill ride at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. As someone who was able to get a taste of this exciting new attraction, I can attest: it’s not just a ride, it’s a journey through cherished memories and an immersive experience.

Good Gravy! isn’t your ordinary roller coaster—it’s a 1,500-foot ode to family, Thanksgiving, and sheer fun. Picture yourself racing through a giant cranberry sauce can, passing towering kitchen utensils like a 20-foot whisk and a 19-foot rolling pin. With a top speed of 37 miles per hour, this family boomerang coaster by Vekoma sends riders soaring up a 77-foot spike before repeating the journey backwards.

During my six rides, I discovered that every seat I rode in offered a unique experience, but in my humble opinion, nothing beats the front row for the best view of the two-way action. And with a minimum height requirement of just 38 inches, Good Gravy! is designed to delight the whole family.

But it’s not just about the ride itself—3dxScenic, a Cincinnati-based firm, has crafted stunning Thanksgiving-inspired sculptures around Stuffing Springs, which combined with the incredibly detailed theming in Grandma Gracie’s House invites guests to immerse themselves fully in the Thanksgiving holiday spirit. From a colossal whisk to a towering rolling pin, every detail pays homage to the warmth and joy of Thanksgiving.

What’s more, Good Gravy! isn’t just a coaster; it’s a story-driven experience that unfolds both on the track and in the meticulously themed surroundings. Whether you’re soaring through the track forward and then backward, or marveling at the giant-sized Thanksgiving sculptures below, every moment is filled with excitement and wonder.

With its unique blend of nostalgia, thrills, and fun, Good Gravy! has rightfully earned its place as one of the best new rides of 2024 in the amusement industry. So why wait? Grab your loved ones and embark on a holiday adventure like no other at Holiday World. Good Gravy!, where every ride is a celebration of togetherness and joy.

Wonderful description of this excellent new family experience. So great to see “theme” parks developing so much more than “thrills” with the immersive storytelling experiences. Great article, Don.

My son and his family where about 20 people in line outsideof Good Gravy and recieved a ticket to go back at 12:30 to ride the good gravy ride, by the time that came around they where still in line to ride a roller coaster. They never did get the chance to ride it😮‍💨.I bought everyone t shirts and did get the sale, so if you bought so many shirts/ gifts you can get the good gravy t shirts on sale price.
We enjoyed Holiday World and will of course go back next year. My sister and I just might go in August😉🚂
I believe it’s the best family park around. 🎡
Please do away with the ticket idea. People are willing to wait and if not they should have the choice to stay in line or leave.
They say when your having fun, time flys, that is so true when your at Holiday W🤗rld.
Worth the travel if you’re out of state🚗
