In 2024, Dollywood has an exciting year ahead for its guests. With an extended operating calendar, more fun awaits in the Great Smoky Mountains. The park’s 39th season offers a remarkable 280 operating days, a significant increase of 23 days from the previous year.
One of the most anticipated additions is the brand-new Dolly Parton Experience, set to open in May 2024. This immersive attraction will transport guests into the world of the iconic Dolly Parton, with interactive elements that showcase her journey from Locust Ridge to international stardom. The Dolly Parton Experience spans multiple buildings, featuring exhibits that cover her legendary career, her dreams and inspirations, the significance of her family, and a curated exhibit highlighting her signature style. It’s three times the size of the former Chasing Rainbows Museum, providing fans with more Dolly than ever.
For those who can’t get enough of adrenaline-pumping rides, Lightning Rod is set to debut in spring with a new high-speed chain lift, promising a more consistent and efficient ride experience. Despite changes to the launch system, the ride remains a thrilling favorite among coaster enthusiasts.
Dollywood’s 2024 season is packed with extended festival operating windows. The season begins with the return of the I Will Always Love You Music Festival, offering new entertainment elements that will delight Dolly fans. From there, guests can enjoy the Flower & Food Festival, Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration, Harvest Festival, and the grand finale, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas, featuring six million lights and festive holiday shows.
Moreover, Dollywood’s resort properties have exciting plans for 2024. The newly opened HeartSong Lodge & Resort, along with reinvestments in the DreamMore Resort and Spa, ensures a fantastic stay for guests.
