With Dollywood in the midst of its milestone 40th anniversary season, the park continues to prove why it’s one of America’s most beloved destinations — and why, for me, renewing my season pass is always an easy decision.
The park recently racked up a series of big wins in the Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards, including a clean sweep in the Best Theme Park Restaurant category, placing three eateries in the top four. Aunt Granny’s Restaurant earned the #1 spot, followed closely by Granny Ogle’s Ham ‘n’ Beans (#2) and Miss Lillian’s Mill House (#4). These are more than just theme park food stops — they’re part of the Dollywood experience, serving up Southern comfort that keeps guests coming back again and again.
Adding to the celebration, “From the Heart—The Life and Music of Dolly Parton” was named Best Theme Park Live Show, a fitting tribute to the park’s namesake and a moving production that captures her incredible journey. It’s no surprise the show took the top spot — it’s heartfelt, inspiring, and uniquely Dollywood.
Dollywood itself was named the #2 Best Overall Theme Park in the nation, and its water park, Splash Country, grabbed the #5 spot for Best Outdoor Water Park.
These awards are impressive, but if you’ve ever spent a day at Dollywood, they’re not surprising. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine charm are evident in everything from the entertainment to the food to the way the staff treats guests. It’s not just a theme park — it feels like home.
Dollywood Parks & Resorts has also been recognized in 2025 as one of Forbes’Best Midsize Employers, one of Newsweek’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, and earned a spot on USA Today’s Top Workplaces USA list — making it clear that the magic behind the scenes is just as strong as what guests experience.
As someone who returns season after season, these accolades only reinforce what I already know: Dollywood delivers. Whether it’s the heartfelt performances, award-winning dining, or the warm Smoky Mountain atmosphere, this park continues to offer more reasons to visit — and more reasons to stay a loyal passholder.
