Dollywood has been named one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025” by Newsweek following the results of a recent large-scale independent survey. The recognition comes as the award-winning theme park kicks off its 40th anniversary season.

The accolade is based on Newsweek’s annual research study, conducted from September to December, which evaluated companies on key performance indicators such as leadership, integrity, compensation, work-life balance, culture, and benefits. Dollywood is one of only three theme park companies to make the list, joining The Walt Disney Company and Hershey Entertainment.

Survey data was gathered from more than 215,000 employee interviews with women, alongside over 2.2 million company reviews. Media coverage of companies was also monitored to validate responses. The survey is one of the largest independent employee studies in the U.S., with the top 1,000 companies being recognized.

Known for its friendly atmosphere and exceptional guest experience, Dollywood has consistently earned industry accolades, including the prestigious Golden Ticket Award for Best Guest Experience from Amusement Today. In late October, the park was also named the No. 1 theme park in the country on Newsweek’s 2025 ranking of America’s Best Customer Service organizations.

Dollywood employees, known as hosts, receive numerous benefits, including 100% free tuition through Herschend’s GROW U. program, access to the Dollywood Family Healthcare Center, and complimentary admission to Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country for family and friends. Hosts also enjoy a free lunch every shift, along with the Park Perks program, which provides free or discounted admission to many regional attractions. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and the park also assists with childcare costs for those using an Upwards-affiliated provider.

Dollywood emphasizes leadership development through various programs, including an apprenticeship initiative in partnership with Walters State Community College.
