Hold onto your hats — and your drumsticks. Disney has officially announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Summer 2026, transforming one of the park’s most iconic thrill rides into a high-speed, music-fueled Muppet adventure.
The reimagined attraction will star the Electric Mayhem — the beloved band featuring Dr. Teeth, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot, Lips, and, of course, Animal — as they prepare for the biggest concert of their career. But, in true Muppet fashion, there’s just one small problem: they’re running late.
Inside G-Force Records (now hilariously under Muppet management), Scooter is scrambling to get the band on the road while a crew of penguin audio engineers frantically keeps the studio together. Disney confirms the new version will feature an all-new Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, marking the character’s first-ever appearance in that form. The company also teased that other Muppets may pop up throughout the experience, though details remain under wraps.
Fans can expect a wild limousine launch through a reimagined Hollywood filled with backstage antics, colorful landmarks, and Muppet mayhem around every turn — all set to a rocking Electric Mayhem soundtrack.

Outside, the attraction’s signature red guitar is getting a psychedelic makeover worthy of Dr. Teeth’s style, complete with bold patterns and a golden piano key accent as a nod to the band’s groovy aesthetic.
Disney also shared the first official attraction poster, featuring the Electric Mayhem mid-performance and giving fans a taste of the chaos and color to come.

The existing Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will remain open through 2025 before the attraction closes to undergo the transformation.
With the Electric Mayhem taking center stage, it’s clear Disney is turning the volume up to eleven on nostalgia, humor, and pure Muppet energy — proving once again that when it comes to chaos, nobody does it quite like The Muppets.
