Coasterstock, Kings Island’s event for roller coaster aficionados, is set to return on May 30-31, 2025, bringing two days of exclusive ride time, behind-the-scenes experiences, and special guest speakers.

For 2025, Coasterstock will feature a special presentation from Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc. (PTCI), one of the world’s most storied roller coaster manufacturers. PTCI President Tom Rebbie and Operations Manager Janine Rebbie Matscherz will share insights on the company’s legacy, including its contributions to Kings Island attractions such as the Grand Carousel, The Racer, Woodstock Express, and The Beast.

Coasterstock attendees will get a rare glimpse into PTCI’s history, including behind-the-scenes stories from The Beast’s construction, which was among Tom Rebbie’s first projects. The presentation will also highlight PTCI’s current operations and thoughts on the roller coaster industry today.

Adding to the nostalgic appeal of Coasterstock, attendees will have the chance to watch The Partridge Family episode I Left My Heart in Cincinnati, filmed at Kings Island in 1972. The episode revolves around Keith (Cassidy), his mischievous younger brother Danny (Bonaduce), and their manager Rueben Kincaid (Madden) vying for the attention of Mary Ann Mobley, portraying Kings Island’s publicist. The catchy tunes “Girl You Make My Day” and “Together We’re Better” add a musical charm to the nostalgic journey.

Adding to the star-studded episode, National Baseball Hall of Fame member and Cincinnati Reds legend Johnny Bench made a special appearance as a poolside hotel waiter, adding a touch of sports flair to the entertainment mix.

The opportunity to watch the episode will be a real treat for Coasterstock attendees, as it serves as the most significant visual record from the park’s inaugural season and preserving the timeless charm of a bygone era.

Coasterstock, which premiered in 2015, is renowned for its exclusive ride time (ERT), and the 2025 edition will not disappoint. The event will feature 33 hours of total ride operation exclusively for attendees, with morning and nighttime ERT sessions spanning more than 20 attractions.

Highlights of the ERT sessions include Flight of Fear with the lights on, nighttime rides on The Beast both nights, and, for the first time, ERT on the Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, which debuted last year.

Additionally, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill will run with the lights on during ERT, and the new RiverRacers water coaster in Soak City Water Park will be available for exclusive ride time.

Beyond the thrills, Coasterstock will offer behind-the-scenes photo and video opportunities, granting attendees rare access to restricted areas of Kings Island’s most iconic rides, including The Beast, The Racer, Orion, and Diamondback.

Tickets will be available beginning February 28 at 10 a.m. ET exclusively on the park’s website. Buyers will need to provide the names of attendees, coaster club affiliations, and t-shirt sizes at the time of purchase. An active membership card from an approved roller coaster club must be presented at check-in.

Ticket sales will end once capacity is reached, and a maximum of eight tickets can be purchased per transaction. In 2023, tickets for the event sold out in just eight minutes!

The full Coasterstock event schedule, including additional surprises, will be released in April.

With its mix of exclusive access, industry insights, camaraderie, and just plain fun, Coasterstock 2025 at Kings Island is set to be an unforgettable experience for thrill-seekers and theme park enthusiasts alike.
