Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari has once again raised the bar on summertime family entertainment with the return of its acclaimed nighttime spectacular, Holidays in the Sky. Back for the 2025 season, the show promises more magic, more music, and even more awe-inspiring visuals—making it one of the summer’s must-see attractions for families across the Midwest.
Running nightly from June 21 through August 3, Holidays in the Sky will light up the sky above Santa Claus, Indiana, for 44 straight evenings. This year’s edition features 500 synchronized drones, several of which carry pyrotechnics, adding jaw-dropping bursts of light to the already mesmerizing aerial choreography. The show is included with park admission and begins each night at 8:50 p.m., weather permitting.
Two dramatic new pyrotechnic moments have been added for 2025. A simulated lightning strike targets a haunted house in a hair-raising visual sequence, while a formation of rocket-shaped drones launches a fireworks display that mimics the liftoff of an actual spacecraft. These showstoppers are part of a continually evolving effort by the park to enhance the spectacle and deliver something fresh to returning guests.
“We keep finding new ways to make Holidays in the Sky more impressive,” said Lauren Crosby, Director of Events & Entertainment. “The new pyrotechnic elements are taking the show to the next level—you truly have to see it to believe it!”
Entertainment isn’t limited to the skies. Each evening kicks off with “Light the Night,” a DJ-led dance party that invites guests of all ages to hit the pavement and get moving before the main event. It’s an energizing way to transition from a day of water rides and roller coasters into the nighttime celebration.
One of the highlights of this year’s show comes from the park’s Thanksgiving section, where visitors are treated to a humorous musical parody called “Pour Some Gravy on Me.” The track, performed by Evansville-based Happy New Month Band, reimagines Def Leppard’s classic “Pour Some Sugar on Me” with tongue-in-cheek Thanksgiving-themed lyrics. A full music video is available on Holiday World’s YouTube channel for guests who want to relive the hilarity after their visit.
“What we do best at Holiday World is downright silliness,” said Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Director of Communications. “Happy New Month is full of such great talent and energy, and they served up a perfect performance, complete with ridiculous moments you just have to watch.”
