Spring arrives in spectacular fashion at Dollywood as the beloved Dollywood Flower & Food Festival transforms the park into a vibrant celebration of color, flavor and family fun.
Running April 18 through June 7, the festival features more than one million blooms spread throughout the park, creating a picture-perfect backdrop in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park region. Guests will find elaborate floral displays around every corner, including the return of the park’s signature Mosaiculture sculptures—intricate, living works of art crafted in partnership with Mosaicultures International.
Among the returning favorites are the whimsical butterfly umbrella, woodland creatures, a peacock, playful bears and the heartfelt scene of Dolly Parton’s mother sewing the iconic Coat of Many Colors. Two vibrant butterflies once again take flight inside The Dolly Parton Experience, giving guests another must-see photo opportunity.
A taste of spring in every bite
The festival isn’t just a feast for the eyes—it’s a culinary showcase of seasonal flavors inspired by the Smokies. Dollywood’s culinary team rolls out a lineup of fresh dishes, from a pesto caprese sandwich and sunflower lemonade to a hearty beef and sausage bread bowl and a blueberry lemon sweet roll.
Health-conscious guests can opt for the blueberry feta salad, while those with a sweet tooth can indulge in a spring berry sundae. The festival’s tasting pass allows visitors to sample multiple items across locations for a single price, making it easy to turn a day at the park into a full-on food tour.
Entertainment blooms across the park
Entertainment is equally central to the experience. The award-winning “From the Heart—The Life and Music of Dolly Parton” brings the story of Dolly Parton to life through music and storytelling, while live performances throughout the park add to the festival’s energy.
Guests can also relax in Craftsman’s Valley as singer-songwriter Jessica Hortonfills the mountain air with classic country and gospel-inspired sounds.
Over on Showstreet, the popular Umbrella Sky installation returns, suspending hundreds of colorful umbrellas overhead in one of the park’s most Instagram-worthy displays. Additional photo spots—including butterfly carpeting and festival signage—offer countless ways to capture springtime memories.
A season that celebrates togetherness

For Dolly Parton, the festival is about more than flowers and food—it’s about connection.
She describes spring in the Smokies as a reflection of “God’s Coloring Book,” a time to celebrate new beginnings while cherishing meaningful moments with loved ones. That spirit carries throughout the festival, from its immersive visuals to its shared dining and entertainment experiences.
The celebration extends beyond the park gates to Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa and Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort, where guests can enjoy themed activities, live entertainment and spring-inspired culinary offerings surrounded by blooming décor.
More to come in Dollywood’s 2026 season

The Flower & Food Festival is just the beginning of a packed season at Dollywood. Following its run, the park transitions into its Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration, featuring the nighttime Sweet Summer Nights drone and fireworks show.
Later in the year, the Harvest Festival brings thousands of carved pumpkins and fall festivities, before the award-winning Smoky Mountain Christmas closes out the season with millions of lights and holiday cheer.
With its blend of natural beauty, immersive design and family-focused entertainment, the Flower & Food Festival continues to solidify Dollywood’s reputation as one of the country’s most beloved theme park destinations—especially in the spring, when the Smokies truly come alive.
