Families planning a spring or summer road trip through South Georgia may want to circle Saturday, March 14, when Wild Adventures Theme Park officially kicks off its milestone 30th anniversary season.

Park leaders are positioning 2026 as more than a nostalgia lap. It’s a wide-ranging refresh meant to elevate the experience across rides, animals, dining and seasonal events.

A Fully Completed Water’s Edge Debuts

The biggest visible change is the completed debut of Water’s Edge, a newly themed area that’s ready for its first full season in the spotlight. The expansion introduces two new rides, Boat Parade and Wing Swinger, along with two all-new food locations, Water’s Edge Tacos and Lakeside Refreshments.

Water’s Edge also becomes the new home for the park’s Ferris wheel, now called the Horizon Wheel, and adds practical guest comforts with a new first aid location and a dedicated quiet room.

Ride Upgrades Aim to Cut Wait Times

Several fan-favorite attractions are getting upgrades designed to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Island Falls, which did not operate in 2025, returns this season with the promise of shorter wait times and more splash-filled fun.

The Safari Train features a new locomotive aimed at keeping lines moving more efficiently.

Meanwhile, the Boomerang roller coaster debuts an all-new control system intended to reduce unexpected closures throughout the season.

Bigger Animal Habitats and Private Encounters

Animal experiences, a longtime signature at Wild Adventures, expand in meaningful ways for 2026. The park’s spider monkeys now have a new habitat in Oasis Outpost that’s triple the size of their previous space, giving them more room for enrichment.

Guests will also be able to explore more of the park’s natural side with the reopening of a large section of the Alapaha Trail for the first time in more than a decade, complete with refreshed wood pathways through authentic Georgia swampland.

For visitors looking for an even closer encounter, three new private animal experiences will be available for purchase: Two-Toed Sloths, Giraffes and Tamanduas.

New 30th Anniversary Photo Ops Across the Park

The anniversary season will be especially camera-friendly, thanks to new selfie spots placed across the park. The goal is to make it easy for guests to capture the moment, commemorate their visit and share it across social media.

Food Gets a Flavor Refresh

Dining is getting a noticeable update, with multiple locations reimagined or improved.

Beginning Opening Day, the all-new Walkabout Wings opens near Boomerang with fresh-fried Chicken Tenders and Tossed Wings in several flavors, including a new Lemon Pepper option.

Typhoon Grill is adding a taste of the Big Easy with new Shrimp Po Boys, while Safari Burger, Pounce’s Pizza, Sugar Shack and Surfside Café roll out refreshed menus and redesigned queue lines aimed at faster service.

A Season Packed with Major Events

Beyond the upgrades, the park’s calendar is packed with seasonal events that stretch from spring through the holidays.

The Easter Eggstravaganza is set to bring what the park calls Georgia’s largest egg hunt to Wild Adventures, with thousands of candy-filled eggs and visits from the Easter Bunny on select dates from March 28 through April 4.

Music fans can plan around the Wild Adventures LIVE! concert series presented by Circle K, featuring an all-new lineup on select Saturdays from April 11 through Aug. 8.

Celebrate America begins on June 20 with free admission for active, retired and honorably discharged military, paired with performances from the Harlem Globetrotters on select dates.

Fall brings Great Pumpkin LumiNights, celebrating its fifth anniversary from Sep. 26 through Nov. 1, and the season wraps with Wild Adventures Christmas Wild & Bright, featuring holly-and-jolly entertainment, more than two million Christmas lights and visits from Santa.

Ticket Deal: $30 Admission and Season Pass Options

To mark 30 years, Wild Adventures is currently offering single-day tickets for $30 when purchased online.

Frequent visitors may want to consider a season pass instead, with Gold Season Passes starting as low as $14.80 for 10 months.

Season passes include access to all rides and slides, animals, free general admission to every Wild Adventures LIVE! concert and in-park discounts.
